Corporate Run of 2021: the JWW team ran for Everest Foundation
On May 22, 2021 more than 10,000 people across Poland gathered up to start the charity race in order to support people who are under the care of Everest Foundation. The Corporate Run is not just an opportunity to help them, but also to promote a healthy lifestyle and have fun with it. This year’s representatives of the JWW team were Edyta, Julia, Joanna, Agata and Marcin.
The participants of the Corporate Run, a great sports charity event, had to face the enduring challenge of a 5-kilometre long run. This was the second time when the JWW team participated in it. Even though, the weather did not seem good at first glance, everyone managed to successfully run the entire distance along the Wroclaw zoo and with what a great result! Our team improved the total time by finishing 10 minutes earlier compared to last year, which naturally only motivates us for the next year run.
The entire event was performed in a hybrid form which enabled everyone to participate in it from almost every place. All of this was possible thanks to a special application called Activa, which counted the total time of each team respectively. The Corporate Run is a sports charity event that has been organized since 2013 by Everest Foundation. All proceeds from the event are donated to the treatment and rehabilitation of the people under the care of the said foundation.
As always, the JWW team is eager to participate in charity events, and that is why we are preparing ourselves for the future runs! 🙂
