Postponement of the deadline for the implementation of the mandatory KSeF
On Friday, January 19, 2024, the Ministry of Finance decided to postpone the date of entry into force of the mandatory National e-Invoice System (KSeF):
We have diagnosed errors that prevent the introduction of the mandatory KSeF on the planned date. Therefore, I decided to conduct an external IT audit and postpone the implementation date of the mandatory KSeF. The system will not come into force in 2024. The audit results will be the basis for setting a new date – said Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance.
What is KSeF for?
The National e-Invoice System is an IT system used for:
– creation,
– receiving,
– storage and
– providing access to e-invoices.
This system is also used to mark e-invoices with an individual identification number assigned in KSeF and made available to the issuer in the return confirmation of receipt of the UPO.
