JWW a participant in the 15th European Economic Congress (EEC)

On April 24-26, 2023, the 15th European Economic Congress is held at the International Congress Center in Katowice. During these three days, thousands of talks, meetings and discussions with the participation of experts, politicians and representatives of global business take place. JWW Accounting Office could not be missing on the spot.

During the 15th European Economic Congress, 11,000 participants representing almost all sectors of the economy meet. The program of the event was filled with numerous panels on key trends and tendencies changing the economy, shaping its prospects in the dynamically changing macroeconomic and geopolitical environment.

During the inauguration of the ECC, participants will share their observations, e.g. on pandemics, war and crisis accumulation: climate and environment, fuels and raw materials, food security, logistics and supplies, slowdown and recession. The issue of a rapid increase in energy prices was also discussed, as well as independence and self-sufficiency in the face of free-market networks and economic efficiency. The discussion panel was attended by, among others, Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament in 2009-2012, Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy, Teresa Czerwińska, representative of the European Investment Bank, and Johannes Hahn, European Union Commissioner for Budget and Administration.

The Congress creates a space for exchanging views on the competitiveness and resilience of the European economy and the transformation of the energy sector. Particular attention was paid to two thematic streams of transformation – the green one, which is related to a sustainable and future-proof economy, and the digital one, which brings both opportunities and threats.

We are glad that we can be at the center of such an important event.
